I can only say wonderful things about this salon and Cheryl.   I am so thankful to have found JUS because I have allergies to hair dyes.  I never thought I would be able to dye my hair again- until I thankfully found Jus/Cheryl.  Cheryl is a perfectionist and artist with hair and coloring.  I get compliments on my hair all of the time.  I refer everyone to her because she is AWESOME and AMAZING!!!!

I’m really surprised at the negative comments about this salon. I had gone to an organic salon when I lived in CT for years and was very happy to see that there was one available in Naperville when I moved to IL. They must have updated or switched locations because the inside was very clean and everything looked fresh and new. All of the people who were working that day were discussing organic products with their clients and seemed knowledgeable about them as well as interested in the green movement. Teri was my stylist and she was brand new to the team. I went to her with a bad cut and color and asked for help. I couldn’t be more pleased with the highlights she put in or how she fixed the cut. I also couldn’t have been happier with how sweet and personable she was. Since I moved to IL 3years ago I have tried about 5 salons and a couple of friends have attempted to do my hair as well. I have been very discouraged and even utilized trips home to New England as times to get my hair done! I was very happy to find Jus and I intend to continue to use this salon for the next few years, until I move out of IL and start my search over again!

I love Jus Hair Organic Salon.  I have been going to Cheryl for years and I fully trust her to do what will look best on my face with my wavy hair.  Whenever I go to Cheryl for a change, I tell her what I am thinking, but let her do her job and what she knows will be best for me.  I always get compliments and people asking who did my hair.  I have also noticed a huge improvement in my hair since I have started using all of their colors and products.  I can’t wait until my next appointment!

This is my 2nd time back!  I had such a great 1st experience with Alysia, my Stylist!  She took the time to get to know me, my style & hair type and although I wasn’t 100% in agreement with her suggestions I took her lead AND viola, she was right!  She did such a great job, made my experience so fun by chatting, getting to know me & sharing about her life!  I recommended to a friend that she come & she too had a great experience!

My only experience here was getting a Pink Hair for Hope extension.  Since I’ve been trying to continue this for the past 5 years, I appreciated the salon having extensions available.

SUPER Happy with everything. They are on the pricey side, even for Naperville but if using the organic product is worth it to you, you should expect to pay more. I think their cuts are a little more than they should be. However, I am really happy with everything from the Wash (if you get a highlight your hair gets washed twice) – Cheryl (and it seemed the other stylists) took a LONG time with each customer. Very precise on the cut. Very precise on getting the highlight exactly like you wanted it. I was there almost 3 hours and that wasn’t because I waited but 5 minutes for my appt. Overall GREAT experience! I would suggest you know what you want, and look at the price menu before you go so you are not in sticker shock. They will do a consultation beforehand so you know exactly. I would definately go there again.

I tried this salon out today using a Groupon purchase as most other reviewers also used.

I’ll start off by saying that I rarely ever get my hair cut – like once a year rarely – and most of the time it’s either been done by my mom (she went to beauty school) or some friend who was currently training at a salon (being a hair model for a hair student = free haircuts woo hoo!), however I no longer know anyone who is learning to do hair, and I live too far from my mom to go to her. One of the main reasons I don’t like going to a normal salon is because you never know the kind of stylist you’re going to get and I never felt like risking having someone I don’t know cut my hair and choose to cut it the way they’d like to instead of how I asked – I’m talking to you people who translate “basic trim” to “chop it all off”.

Jus’ Hair is a really small, but cozy. I liked the color scheme with the dark furniture and the girl who greeted me was very kind and helpful, they also offer coffee/water if you’d like. Alysia did my hair and she is awesome for a few reasons:

  1.  she understands what “just a trim” means
  2. she understands what “JUST A TRIM” means
  3. she wasn’t crazy chatty – I felt like she understood me in that sens that I’m not a conversation starter and I’m a pretty quiet & easy person. When I wanted to continue the conversation I reciprocated the question and when I didn’t I just left it at that and she seemed perfectly okay with it, it helped to make me feel comfortable and not force small talk while she was doing my hair.
  4. I asked her a question regarding dry hair/scalp and she answered with a simple natural product that I could purchase at a normal grocery store; she didn’t push a product they had on me at all. I thought that was very kind and respectful.

There was’t ever a time that I felt treated differently because of the Groupon, the $5 charge that some people are complaining about is silly, you’re getting a service that STARTS at $47 for $35.

I’m trying to grow my hair out, but I’m sure I’ll need some maintenance done at the end of summer and I’ll definitely book my next appointment with Alysia.

I first learned of Jus’ through a Groupon. I had just moved to the suburbs from the city so was looking for something out this way. I wasn’t expecting the world because some Yelpers had bashed it a bit, but for the price plus the non-chemical smell of usual salons it was worth it. I am so glad I did! Cheryl did my highlights plus a condition and a cut. The haircut was incredible. She sat me down and looked at my face before starting to see what she thought would work best. Mind you, I was not a total makeover that hadn’t changed my style since the 80’s. It was already pretty nice, but she totally took it up a notch. At first I wasn’t too wild about the hair color. I had liked my other color a bit better. However, everybody I know likes this slightly different shade way better so she may be on to something. I had a few guys I know compliment me on my hair and I have had it done other times and they didn’t even notice. My hair is pretty wavy so most stylists do not do the best job with it, but she was spot on. I will keep going back. She is further out than I’d like, but she does a great job and the fact that there isn’t a chemical smell to the salon means I don’t have to worry that an asthma attack will kick in from the awful salon smell at most places

Excellent cuts, artistic, professional color. Cheryl is extremely knowledgeable about her hair products and a true artist with her ability to blend color. I have brought all of my family members to this salon for I know I will be happy with both the services and the style. If your looking for a great cut, color and the least toxic chemicals- this is your salon!

Cheryl is awesome! She actually took the time to sit down and consult on what I was looking for in a new haircut. She also recommended a product that I now love. I will gladly continue to drive an hour to get my haircut. It is hard to find someone that treats you as an individual and actually takes the time in what you are looking for. Plus I have decided to go organic with any hair treatments. Highly recommend!
